Rainwear that can also serve as warm clothing is required. Rainwear consisting of separate jacket and pants is the most convenient. Use of umbrellas should be avoided due to the increased risk of lightning strike. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear. Trekking shoes are recommended, sandals should be avoided.Yudanaka Onsen areaYudanaka is the last stop of the train from Nagano. This area has a great many ryokans (Japanese inns) and onsen that you can use at your leisure.
